About Succession Intel

Built by someone who works in estate banking.

Succession Intel was created to solve the bottleneck every executor and probate lawyer faces: finding out what the estate actually contains before you can close it.

Where this came from

The research problem is real and it is not going away.

Estate settlement in Canada involves a predictable bottleneck: at the beginning of every file, someone has to locate all the assets and liabilities. This means calling banks, writing to institutions, waiting weeks for responses, and then doing it again when a new account turns up. For families, this process is emotionally exhausting. For law firms, it is billable time spent on administrative work that could be automated.

Succession Intel was built to remove that bottleneck. Our team has a background in estate banking and built Succession Intel to serve the families and professionals who face this bottleneck every day.

How we operate

Research and compilation. Committee-reviewed delivery.

Succession Intel operates with a small team. Research, compilation and report assembly are handled in a structured process. Every report is reviewed by our committee before it is delivered.

We hold zero deposit assets. We are not a trust company, a bank, or a financial institution. We are a technology provider that delivers a data research and documentation service.

5 business days

Standard delivery from intake confirmation and payment.

Canada & International

Standard coverage for Canadian institutions, with international support available on request.

Committee reviewed

Every report is reviewed by our committee before delivery. No report leaves without sign-off.

Scope: please read thisSuccession Intel is a technology service. We do not provide legal advice, fiduciary advice or opinions on any estate. We do not act as an executor, trustee or estate administrator. We do not hold estate assets. Executors and their legal counsel remain fully responsible for all decisions related to the administration of the estate.

Why this matters now

The Great Wealth Transfer is already under way.

An estimated $84 trillion in wealth will transfer between generations in North America through 2045. In Canada, that means millions of estate files over the next two decades, many involving assets spread across institutions that a family may know nothing about.

Succession Intel is built for that reality: a platform that handles the research work at scale, on behalf of families and the lawyers who serve them.
