The Process

From intake to report in 4 steps.

We built Succession Intel to remove the bottleneck that makes estate settlement take months. Here is exactly what we do and how we do it.

Step by step

What happens when you submit

  1. Step 1: Intake

You submit the intake form with the full legal name of the deceased, their date of passing, province of residence, and Social Insurance Number (SIN). We do not need account numbers, passwords, PINs or access to devices.

  2. Step 2: Payment confirmation

After you submit the form, we follow up within one business day with a secure payment link. We do not begin research until payment is confirmed. For law firms taking the free first-file audit, this step is skipped for the trial file.

  3. Step 3: Research and compilation

Our research process queries Canadian financial institutions, credit bureaus and registry sources. We compile bank accounts, registered plans (RRSP, TFSA, RRIF), investment and brokerage accounts, outstanding credit, and government benefit accounts (CPP, OAS). All processing runs within Canada.

  4. Step 4: Committee review and delivery

Findings are compiled, sourced and formatted into the Estate Research Report. Our review committee checks every report for completeness and accuracy before delivery. Standard delivery is 5 business days from payment. Priority Concierge clients receive their report in 3 business days.
